Terres de l'Ebre
Baix Ebre, town by town.
A broken coastline to the north and the delta to the south, with two opposite maintenance regimes: salt and wind above, humidity and salinity below.
Regular visits, a protocol inspection and a photo report in every town of the comarca. From €69/month, no lock-in.
Towns in this comarca (6 towns)
Each has its own page, with what gets watched there in particular.
- L'Ametlla de Mar→Les Tres Cales and Calafat are estates on a broken coastline, with houses perched over coves. Strong salt, wind and narrow access; in winter there are whole streets with nobody in them.
- El Perelló→Country houses and scattered smallholdings among olive trees, reached by track. The problem here is not the sea: it is isolation, vegetation and plumbing nobody looks at for months.
- L'Ampolla→A small harbour and seasonal homes facing the bay. Salt and delta damp working together on the joinery and ironmongery of flats that open two months a year.
- Camarles→Already in the delta: very high humidity, mosquitoes and salinity. Closed country houses build up mould and corrosion at a speed you do not see elsewhere on the coast.
- Deltebre→Riumar is seasonal housing in the middle of the delta, with humidity, salinity and wind as constants. A closed home here needs airing and inspection, not just somebody glancing at the door.
- Tortosa→A historic centre with centuries-old buildings and country houses across the municipality. Old structure, river damp and inherited homes that go years without anyone stepping inside.
What repeats across this comarca
The features that come up most across its towns, and what we do about each one.
Empty all winter
Months with the house shut and the blinds down. Dry traps, damp and stale air are the guaranteed result if nobody goes in to air it.
Track access
The track is part of the house: if a storm washes it out, nobody gets in. We check it every visit and warn you before it becomes impassable.
Salt air
Salt seizes blind runners, hinges and locks. We check them, grease them, and tell you when a window will not take another winter.
Farmhouse or country house
Old structure, a large roof and outbuildings that are almost never opened. The inspection is long and done in parts, not a glance.
Mooring or canal
Canal wall, a garage below sea level and sometimes a moored boat. It is a different inspection from any other house.
Delta
Permanent humidity and salinity, with mosquitoes and accelerated corrosion. Airing the house here is not a detail: it is the job.
